Help Minds Heal is a dedicated peer support unit providing assistance and information in dealing with mental health and mood disorders. Our goal is to provide a safe, secure and anonymous way to reach out and communicate with people who understand how it feels to be in your situation.
Our volunteers have all experienced / experience depression, anxiety and other mood disorders which we feel makes us more equipped to offer our support and assistance to other people. This also makes us more determined to help see other people do not suffer in silence and make people realise that they are not alone. They have the means to reach out. They have the means to help themselves. They have the means to get past these demons.

It is estimated that over the entire world in the year 2000, one million people died from suicide. This is a rate of one death occurring every 40 seconds, or 16 in every 1000 people.
Suicide is now recognised as one of the three main causes of mortality in the world amongst people aged 15-44. Statistics do not include suicide "attempts", which occur at a rate of 20 times more than actual complete deaths.
